We designed four of the first six underground stations on Phase 1 of MRT’s Circle Line. Our team was co-located in the Land Transport Authority’s offices.
We developed numerous design options to rationalise station planning and fully integrate the project into the existing urban environment. We took the project through to completion of Reference documents for Design & Build tenders. Detailed Design was undertaken by the contractor's team.
Esplanade station is built under a road near Raffles Hotel and War Memorial Park. We designed it on three underground levels: the lowest for the Circle Line, the middle level is for another future MRT Line and the upper level is a public concourse leading into neighbouring property developments.
Dhoby Ghaut Station
Dhoby Ghaut station interchanges with the existing North South Line and North East Line Stations. Detailed coordination with advanced works on the North East Line included major redesign of the preliminary proposals.
Underground station with additional platforms to interchange with another future MRT line. Incorporates dedicated entrances to adjacent developments.
Nicoll Highway Station
Underground station with two platforms for future expansion. It has direct links to existing shopping centres and future housing development.
